Joseph Archer is an independent filmmaker and co-founder of Silicon Gothic Films.
He will talk through the process of making his directorial debut Snapshot, starring Bafta-nominated Tom Stourton, who co-wrote and starred in 2021 feature All My Friends Hate Me. Snapshot is about the 19th century inventor of the pinhole camera and has been shot entirely in a 1:1 circle aspect ratio to mimic this style.
Previously, Joseph has had the pleasure to make projects starring Batfa-winner Jess Ransom and the legendary Bafta-nominated Stephen Fry.
Founded in 2022, Silicon Gothic produces narrative work that highlights environmental damage and social issues in modern British society.
Joseph has written for the Open University on film and sustainability and most recently he delivered a seminar at University of Cambridge on sustainable narrative filmmaking for the Marlowe Society.
Jennifer Handorf's feature work includes Prevenge, The Borderlands, and over a dozen international productions screened from Sundance to Venice.
The Borderlands, was met with critical and commercial success, with Mark Kermode calling it so unnerving he nearly left the cinema.
She continued to champion high-concept, character-driven storytelling with Prevenge, the directorial debut of Alice Lowe, who was eight months pregnant during production.
She served as a juror for BAFTA Cymru and festivals across Europe, and as a lecturer and mentor worked at institutions like Ravensbourne, Met Film School, and Norwich University of the Arts.
Q&A panel with filmmakers Noah Stratton-Twine and Toby Kearton on the hustle of making their debut films on a low budget.
Jamie Gamache is a producer and Co-Founder of Lowkey Films, the B Corp certified creative production studio.
His first feature, Kindling (2023), produced with Mark Foligno (The King’s Speech, Moon), was released in the UK in 2023 in partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust and Movember. It was the first British film in 6 years to compete at the Shanghai International Film Festival.
The next feature, Salvable (2025), starring Toby Kebbell and Shia LaBeouf, is scheduled for release in 2025 with Lionsgate distributing in the US.
